My Browser Needs a Therapist

by | Dec 9, 2011 | Humorous, WordPress

I knew my browser tended to be a little broody and emotional, but I had no idea it was so insecure!

This message totally cracked me up and made my morning.  From Dictionary.com:

in·se·cure

  1. subject to fears, doubts, etc.; not self-confident or assured: an insecure person.
  2. not confident or certain; uneasy; anxious: He was insecure about the examination.
  3. not firmly or reliably placed or fastened: an insecure ladder.

That’s my browser!

To be fair, I skipped a definition:

  • not secure; exposed or liable to risk, loss, or danger: an insecure stock portfolio.

It’s IE9 – hardly “outdated” nor the most insecure browser out there, but I don’t want to get into the IE vs FF debate.  I do want to focus on the tragic value of labeling my browser.  IE isn’t insecure….not by a long shot.  These are tough times – it’s not like when you were growing up with Netscape Gold.  IE is at a rough age…it’s a little misunderstood and has trouble making friends sometimes, but it’s not insecure…

It’s just a phase.
